Moult Walker project managed Market Place, Romford (Phases 3-5), a £40 million design & build mixed use scheme with Carillion as main contractor.  Pre-lets included Aldi, Iceland, Boots, NHS surgery and Capita. A sales scheme was agreed with Telford Homes for the 91 apartments.  The scheme included a new two storey central Shopping Hall (including fit-out). We completed the works for U+I after our client's administration.

Similarly, we project managed Phases 1 & 2 at Market Place. Phase 1 included a landmark four storey office building, enabling works and multi-storey car park. Phase 2 was a Travelodge hotel and 24 private market apartments. The Phase 1 works were critical in the land assembly and the HBoS funding was dependent upon 'completion' to release a 999 year lease. The Travelodge was pre-let with a development agreement.

After the grant of planning for a joint sports and residential scheme, Moult Walker project managed the £5.1 million design & build of the new clubhouse, scorebox and artifical pitch for the cricket and hockey clubs. The residential sale to Cala Homes included a development agreement with escrow account release to fund the new build. Morgan Sindall were main contractors and assisted with considerable value engineering.

The East Ham market hall was sold to Barratt London and a JV company for a joint residential  scheme of 277 apartments and ground floor retail units and central mall. Moult Walker are project managers of the ground floor retail part involving the refurbishment of the existing Kina House. This involves various shared construction matters, party wall awards, complicated fire strategy and linked M&E matters.

Further to a successful planning appeal decision, Moult Walker project managed the design & build contract for a new Sainsburys at Bancroft, Hitchin. Bowmer & Kirkland were contractor under Sainsbury's framework agreement. The historic town centre development had complicated rights of way over third party archways, boundary agreements, squatters and contamination (from the previous tannery business).

After the successful sale to Morrisons (by Moult Walker), we project managed the construction of a new management centre for North Hertfordshire College in Letchworth. The building contract was tendered on a design & build basis and awarded to Ashe Construction. The new building was designed as a specialist management centre. The building and car park was linked to the new neighbouring Morrisons store.

Moult Walker secured planning permission for a mixed use strategic development at Harwich International Port. We project managed the new superstore and pfs together with initial infrastructure. This included a regional government funded port bypass which was subsumed into the building contract for cost savings. The grant was linked to delivery of an industrial unit scheme which we also managed.
