Moult Walker were Agent and Development Co-ordinator of the redevelopment of Hitchin's football ground. This was promoted on the basis of a Tesco superstore and new sports development in the Green Belt (new stadium, training pitches, fitness centre etc.). We held extensive discussions with Sport England and the Football Association. Unfortunately, this scheme was aborted as Tesco withdrew from the scheme.

Moult Walker were Project Managers of the joint Hitchin cricket and hockey club redevelopment of their Lucas Lane sports ground. This followed the sale of part of their ownership to Cala Homes for 27 homes. The scheme included new clubhouse, scorebox, new artificial grass pitch (hockey and football use), cricket nets and resurfacing and new irrigation system for the cricket pitch.

Following the sale of Sanville Gardens to Persimmon Homes, our client wanted to build a community building for the local area. Moult Walker were Project Managers and arranged the scheme transfer to a Charity to be more tax efficient and to own the completed build. To provide a sustainable community hub, we further leased part of the building to a voluntary service charity. This charity manages the building and shares the income.

As part of the North Hertfordshire College sale to Asda Stores (by Moult Walker), the redeveloped sports pitch required reprovision and qualitative improvement. Moult Walker project managed, for North Hertfordshire College and Stevenage Football Club, the Shephalbury Football Academy. The phase one scheme included a grass pitch, series of small artifical grass pitches, car park and new access to the A602.

Moult Walker have supported Grove Cottage (Bishop's Stortford Mencap) for several years and have secured planning permission for redevelopment of their freehold property at London Road to give a purpose built special needs nursery, adult activity rooms and offices. Despite objections on amenity, overlooking, parking and flooding concerns, this was approved. The next stage is fundraising for the £1.75 million build cost.
